invoice billable hours from time sheets in dynamics 365 business central

I am pretty sure I am missing something very simple here, that is usually the case.

When we fill out timesheets there is "check box" for billable. Yet I am unable to find how to automatically pull those billable hours into an invoice for that particular client. Currently we have to run a report, then filter that report by billable hours, sorted by client. Then save the report filtered by client so we can show documentation for the billable hours. This seems like a strange thing to be a manual process in a CRM/ERP as "powerful" as MSD365BC is supposed to be.

When searching here in the community, the only threads that I can find is from third party apps. Is there not an internal process in side of MSD365BC that will do this?

Thanks

Basically your timesheet hours post into Job Journals and then you post the job journals into the jobs. From the list of Jobs, there is a Process for Create Sales Invoices.  Sales invoices are created but you still need to post them.

We bypass the timesheet and enter our hours into the job journals, this allows us to control the description that eventually makes its way to the invoice.

I totally agree with Kim's suggestion here. Skip the timesheets and enter the hours directly in a job journal.

Easier and more flexible than the time sheets.

Sorry for the delayed response. I have been out of the office with the crews for a couple of weeks. This is currently the process we are following, so I will keep doing it. It would be nice if MS for add this feature.

    Thanks
