Hello,

I was trying to use visual studio to make a plug-in but it looks like I can't connect my CRM account, does anybody know where on CRM to get the "Discovery Server Name"?

Thank you very much,

Regards!

    Hi Ken,

You can check in the Developer Resource

Settings -> Customization -> Developer Resources

    discoveryserver2.jpg

Or you can just refer to this documentation for CRM Online

    https://bingsoft.wordpress.com/2010/10/21/crm-2011-beta-discovery-and-web-service-urls/

    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg328127.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396

    And place here:

And here if you still confused, very well explanation by Ben.

    https://crmbusiness.wordpress.com/2014/03/24/setting-up-visual-studio-with-the-developer-toolkit-for-microsoft-dynamics-crm/

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.

Thank you very much, I don't know why the below options are disable:

    • Domain.

    Hi Ken,

It is because you haven't logged in.

In the CRM Discovery Server Name.

"Remove the https:// and the part /XRMServices/2011/Discovery.svc "

So just let the disco.crm.dynamics.com or disco.crm5.dynamics.com (for APAC), it is based on your area.

    Thanks!

Thank you Chitra and thank you Aileen, you are both very kind.

I found it, what happened was that I needed to use the secure shell connection (HTTPS), I dont know why it didnt allow me as HTTP.

    Thank you very much again,

    Greetings.

Ken, change the Protocol to HTTPS?

Are you sure your location is crm only not crm1, crm5, etc?

    Thanks.
