Dear All,

Good day,

I followed the guidance provided in the LinkedIn post "(5) Letter of Credit configuration and setup in Dynamics 365 Finance" to configure and process a purchase order linked to a Letter of Credit (LC).

(5) Letter of Credit configuration and setup in Dynamics 365 Finance | LinkedIn

I successfully created a purchase order linked to an LC with a total amount of 1,000 AED. I recorded a margin of 500, had it allocated, and subsequently marked the PO as received and invoiced.

However, I encountered an issue during the LC margin settlement process. When I attempt to settle the LC margin, the option to enter the Bank Document Number does not appear under the Transaction Type. Interestingly, the field for the bank document number only becomes visible when I manually select "Margin" as the transaction type.

Could you please advise if this is expected behavior or if there might be a configuration step I’m missing?
