Possible to create an opportunity directly from account or contact record?

I see how I can create an opportunity by clicking "Opportunities" under the Sales workplace and clicking "New" on the Opportunities tab.

But, then I have to associate that opportunity with the existing account and primary contact.

If I am looking at a contact, how can I just create an opportunity right there that is already linked to the contact and account? This is more the workflow I'm used to with other CRM tools.

    Jeff,

    When you have the Contact or Account record open for the person or the business look to the left side of the form and under Common you will see Opportunities. Click there and then in the new ribbon bar click on add new opportunity. It will automatically associate the new opportunity with the account or contact record. If you create the opportunity on the contact entity, it will rollup and be viewable on the account record that is parented by the contact.

    Thanks Jerry. If I am looking at the Contact Record, I open the "Navigation" bar on the left, then choose "Opportunities" under Sales.

    That brings up a grid view that says "No Opportunity records are available in this view."

    I do not see a ribbon bar at the top of this page.
