Looking for pros and cons from moving to CRM 2016 on prem to 365 online

Hello,

My company is on CRM 2016 on prem and I would like to move us to 365 online.  In order to do this though, I need to get data  behind me to sell this move to my manager and higher ups. Looking for pros and cons, cost, etc...

    Article was written July 2017. D365 was on the market already. So I believe it's relevant to D365.
