I want to modify the RM Summary History Aged Trial Balance report, but when I try to insert it to the modified reports list (right side) I get this error: "Report resource could not be opened."

Soma, I've already tried this and got the same error. Redbeard suggestion solved it.

    Thanks

Have you tried to open the RM Summary History Aged Trial Balance report from the screen output window?

Try to modify this report through screen output window by clicking Tools-->Customize-->Modify Current Report(Ctrl+F9).

    Hope this helps!!!

    Hi Angel!

I was able to do a little digging on the error that you mentioned. In a few cases I have come across it appears that recreating the Reports.DIC like Redbeard had mentioned resolves the issue. So I am going to have to agree with recreating the Reports.DIC  as this should resolve the issue.

Let us know if you have any additional questions!

    RE: Report Writer Error

    Angel,

You likely have damaged Reports.DIC file (the file that holds all your company's customer GP Reports).  From time to time, these can be damaged by network, disk errors and such.  Here is a link to a Knowledge Base Article on recreating the Reports.DIC file.  This should resolve your problem.  Make a copy of your Reports.DIC file, and put it in a safe place before messing with it.
