Integration Manager VB Script to Clear out Date Field

Hello. I have created an integration that brings in new employees into a client's payroll master tables. The issue is with the adjusted hire date. The client wants this field to be a null date. By default the field defaults to whatever the Start Date is in GP.

I think I need to create a VB script that can do this process. Any ideas on how to do this?

Any and all help will be appreciated.

    Hi David,

    If these are all new employees that you are entering, you could set a constant for your adjusted hire date. The date 1900-01-01 00:00:00.000 is considered by GP to be a 'blank' date. You could also put this in your source document. The adjusted hire date is a field available in integration manager, is there some reason you need a VB script? You can have a blank adjusted hire date in your source, you can go to the Source Field options on the left hand side of the window and where it says 'If Null' you could tell it to 'Use Null Date'

    Do you thing any of this will work for you?

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

    CurrentField = cdate("1/1/1900")
