Hi, I am facing this error when synchronizing can anyone help to resolve the conflict , if requesting support, please provide the following details to help troubleshooting:

Error message:
The data could not be updated because of the following error: Table CRM Contact must be mapped to table Customer to transfer value between fields rw_ContactId and ClientID.

    Check feild mapping and direction . Or have your written any AL script to update any custom field

    Seems like you are using Sales Integration, first question from my side would be that, Is this the only pain and others getting syncing in successfully?

    Hello,
     
    Your sync error means the CRM Contact ↔ Customer tables aren’t mapped, so BC can’t transfer lookup fields (rw_ContactId ↔ ClientID).
    Fix:
    Go to Integration Table Mappings.
    Add or enable mapping Customer ⇄ Contact (Dataverse Contact).
    Ensure related field mappings exist for both lookup fields.
    Re-couple records (Customer → Set Up Coupling → Synchronize).
    After saving, rerun the job queue — the sync will complete normally.

    Hi all,

    I was able to resolve this issue. The problem occurred because in CRM the Contact table can be related to both Contact and Customer, which caused a conflict during synchronization in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central when transferring values between rw_ContactId and ClientID.

    To fix the issue, we did the following:

    • Created a new table field mapping for Customer and Contact to avoid ambiguity during synchronization.
    • Added a new GUID field in Business Central to store the Account/Contact GUID coming from CRM.
    • Mapped this GUID field in the Integration Table Mapping.
    • Added a proper table relation and mapping and coupling with Customer so the system can identify the correct record.
    • Synced all existing Contacts to Customers after updating the mapping.
    • ​​​​​​​

    After updating the mapping and relations, synchronization is now working correctly without conflicts.

    Hope this helps someone facing the same issue.
