Issue exporting to excel from Chrome

I am experiencing an issue whereby I am not able to export to excel from dynamics CRM within Chrome. I have run an advanced find view, which I would like to export to excel. I clicked export Static Worksheet which downloads the view, but it’s not dropping it into an excel format anymore and does not allow me to open the view within Excel.

Even from within my downloads folder, I cannot open the Export downloads. I have tried this in both IE and Firefox, and the exports work correctly from there. 

The CRM is On-Premise and is on version  8.2.1.176

    This sounds like it's the recent issue with Chrome, where it puts single-quotes around the filename. This is more a Chrome issue than a CRM one, and I expect it will need a Chrome fix. You can workaround this by renaming the file to remove the quotes after it has downloaded

    Hi David,

    Thank for this. I have tried this and it has worked.

    Is it simply a matter of waiting for a Chrome update to fix this issue.
