Customer statement report 1316 vs 10072

I notice there are two report IDs out of the box for the customer statement report. 1316 appears to be the word version, and 10072 i the RDLC version. The 1316 is the word version which is the report when I click customer statement or scheduled statements on the customer list, and on the customer card when I click either. When I search for and click "customer statement", it is also report 1316. When I search for and click "customer statements" with an extra s, the report ID is no 10072, the RDLC version. Is there any difference between the two? Is it recommended to use one over the other? I just ask this as the document layouts for the send to email for customer statements, would it be better to setup both report ID, or just the 1316 since that is the one the end user would likely click?

    I’m guessing your localization is CA or NA? Report 10072 was originally the only customer statement available, but it has since been replaced by report 1316. You can find more details here: Canadian Features that are Moved, Removed, or Replaced - Business Central | Microsoft Learn

    Personally, I’d recommend using report 1316, as there’s no guarantee that 10072 will remain available in the future. However, if there are specific features in 10072 that you prefer, you might consider continuing with it for now.
