How to deploy CRM Outlook plugin via SCCM Task Sequence

Hello,

I have had many googles on the above question and I still can't find a solution that works, I have tried:

http://it-experts.dk/blogs/martinwarner/archive/2011/09/28/deployment-of-the-microsoft-dynamics-crm-2011-client-through-configuration-manager.aspx

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh699702.aspx

http://blogs.catapultsystems.com/vmontalbano/archive/2011/08/26/create-sccm-package-for-microsoft-dynamics-crm-2011.aspx

These are the goals I would like to obtain: Install CRM without user intervention via SCCM task sequence or application, to have the discovery URL and organisation configured via the task sequence.

I have used the above guides, but I still can't even get the plugin installed, can anyone please advise or point me in the right direction, surely there must be a guide directly from Dynamics?

Environment: Config Manager 2012, using Windows 7 64 bit, Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 64 bit.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Alex.

    Hello Alex,

Are you still experiencing problems deploying CRM by SCCM?

If so can you give me some details about some of the errors you are encountering while trying to install? I'd like to see if I can help you here. Also you can also log a support request with us and we can assist you in that manner as well.

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Hello Guys,

This is how I done it,

    Environment:

    SCCM 2012

    Windows 7 64 bit SP1

    Office 2010 Professional Plus

Aim: To install CRM 5.0 on all machines, via task sequence and via software center.

    Follow this guide: blogs.catapultsystems.com/.../create-sccm-package-for-microsoft-dynamics-crm-2011.aspx

Then I used this batch file to install CRM:

    @echo off

    msiexec.exe /q ALLUSERS=2 /m MSIIGJRQ /i "Redist\SQLCE\SSCERuntime-ENU-x64.msi"

    Redist\dotNETFX\dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64 /q /norestart

    Redist\VCRedist\vcredist_x64.exe /q /norestart

    Client\amd64\SetupClient.exe /q INSTALLLEVEL=2 /l c:\crmclientlog.txt

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Alex.

    Hi Alex,

How do you make it possible for the batch file to be run by regular user when CRM is downloaded via SCCM?

Might already be answered. But to answer that, have you looked under "User Experience" And set to "Install for system" (whether a user is logged on or not)

    Hi

did you ever get the Configuration part to work?

I've been tasked to deploy crm2013 outlook addin to all our clients. The 1 thing still annoying me is the configuration part.

It has to be done 'as the user' AND outlook has to have been opened beforehand..

Deploying to a client that's been around for a while is fine since outlook will most likely have been opened.. but what about a new installation where the user hasn't even been logged in yet...

Ideas? How do we handle this?
