In Account Schedules -> Column Layouts -> Column Type there is the option of selecting Subsidiary. This was added recently (at least it was not there in older versions of NAV). Does anyone know what selecting this will do? I can't find this in any documentation.
There is already a Business Unit Totaling field for selecting a Business Unit Code, so I'm not sure what Column Type Subsidiary is for.
Thank you Marco.
Hello,
learn.microsoft.com/.../finance-consolidated-company-reporting-setup
The Subsidiary comes from ColumnLayoutType.Enum.al which is extensible, it has been therefore a while in BC but not in Dynamics NAV as far as I know. Maybe Subsidiary needs to be renamed as an enum to Business Unit, but I cannot find documenation about it either. It indeed comes back in several consolidation code units.
Hope it answers the question,
Amit, have you read the question or do you spam the forum with answers to increase your rank?
Hi,
I think this used for consolidation purpose.
