User is unable to scan products using barcode

I have user at a client who is unable to scan products. He receives the following error: "You have scanned an invalid barcode into the Item No field"
The barcode, however, is valid. He is also the only user who is affected. Anyone know how to resolve this?

    Hello,

    Have you tried reading the barcode with another scanner (one that works properly)? Maybe the scanner was not configured correctly!
