Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Can I export my inventory list from RMS to excel and not have the numbers change?  I lose the leading zero(s).

One way is to export to a .csv file, open the file using Notepad or some other text editor, copy/paste the data into Excel, then use the Text to Columns feature using Delimited as the data type and Comma as a delimiter and then set any columns containing data with leading zeros to Text.

This is a problem with Excel.   You need to set the column to Text format or use a custom format to allow leading digits.
