Hello Dear community,

When we run planning optimization we receive systematically the following alert
"Could not find unit of measure with id *********"
Can you help to fix this ?
Thanks in advance.

    Hi Omar,

I haven't seen this error myself before. I think the IDs are record IDs of probably deleted units of measure records. Do you know if units were deleted from your environment?

According to someone on the product team, these warnings normally indicate a problem with a unit of measure conversion record.

Try to investigate the UnitOfMeasureConversion table, where FromUnitOfMeasure or ToUnitOfMeasure matches the recids from your error message.

I get the same error message and in my case, the record ID belongs to a unit of measure (not a conversion) that has been deleted since it wasn't needed. Did you delete records from unit of measure table lately? It seems Planning optimization is going through unit of measure table and if there's a gap between record IDs, it throws this error message. But that doesn't make much sense, does it?

I have raised a support request at Microsoft support and today got their decision that this warning message is by design. It's caused by deleting units with related unit conversion which were once linked to a released product and processed by Planning optimization. Even if that unit and unit conversion no longer exist, their record ID is still processed during Planning optimization run. Since I find that warning message misleading, I have created an idea in the Dynamics Ideas Portal, hoping that one day they will fix it. Your vote is appreciated: Microsoft Idea (dynamics.com)

you can check by deleting some of the unit conversions as this is might be due to upgrade issue due to the change of rec id of units and issue that was before a warning and was now risen as an error , try deleting the standard unit converisons and see if number of errors will change

    Dear All,

Thanks for your interaction with my Post. You were all right Missing units on the UnitOfMeasureConversion were the root cause of this warning.
    It all fixed right now.
    Thanks y'all
