Duplicate activities in CRM

Hi there,

We have a CRM user and his assistant have delegate access to his outlook (through Exchange). Now there is a recurrent meeting in his calendar has been tracked in CRM by his assistant. From few days there are some instances of this recurring meeting which are creating more that 10 activities every 15 minutes for that company record. It has now created more than 8000 activities. Is there any possibility to stop happening this and to delete all these activities in bulk?

    Hello

    To delete the duplicate activities, you can run a Bulk Delete Job, looking for the activities. Also, you can run an Advanced Find and then delete the results.

    For the other question, please review the permissions for the delegate user that you are granting, if you do not want him/her to create any appointments. If you only want to delete this appointment, please Untrack the appointment.

    Hi Victor,

    Thank you for your reply. Those links are really helpful. we have already stopped tracking this appointment in CRM. His assistant do need to have permission to create appointments in his calendar. Just wanted to know what is causing these duplicate activities and how we can prevent it in future.

    Thanks RajKumar. It just a one particular appointment we have problem with. But above links will help us when we start replacing devices soon. Somehow CRM has stopped creating duplicate activities since 6th august for this appointment. I have deleted few activities and want to check if it creates them again.
