Make an Extender Field Bigger

I created an Extender window and put a field of type long string on it.  The long string can hold 255 characters but the field that shows on the window is very narrow.  So, if you were to put in a large number of characters you would have to keep scrolling in the field to the right in order to read everything.  Is there a way to size the Extender field?

    If you are using a form layout that has multiple columns, put your long field on the left side and do not put anything on the right side.  The field will extend across the window to the right edge.

    We have a real good book called Extending GP which covers the use of the Extender and tricks like this.  Check out our web site.

    Thanks for the reply Richard.  The problem though is it doesn't look like Extender allows you to modify how the field shows on the window so even though it can hold 255 characters you would have to scroll to see everything.  Do you know if there is a way to make this field wider so you don't have to do that.  Below is a screen shot of the window I created.  The field called "information" is the one I would like to change.

    No, sorry that is it.  Notes windows have multi line fields but you cannot have the other fields on the window.  Now you could, if you used a Form instead of a window, put the short fields on the form and then use an Extra Window button to launch a Notes window!
