Hi everyone,
we are having some problems with the D365 connector.
In my understanding (i am no D365 expert) - you can select track - either when using the category or the addin.
There might be a false usage on the user side. But we now had a very disturbing event.
This cannot be right - can it? It is a programmatic access to another users mailbox without the owners permission.
Are there some configuration errors you can make?
Can we set up an exception - so that only external meetings and mails can be tracked?
Best regards
Stephan
Hi. Thanks for your response
Deleting a tracked appointment in Outlook deletes the appointment in Dynamics 365 for Customer Engagement. Deleting a tracked appointment in Dynamics 365 for Customer Engagement deletes the appointment in Outlook if the following is true:
The appointment date is in present or future. - YES
You are the owner or organizer of the appointment record. - NO
If you stop tracking an appointment, Dynamics 365 for Outlook asks whether you want to delete the appointment from Dynamics 365 for Customer Engagement. The appointment record is deleted in Dynamics 365 for Customer Engagement if the following is true:
The appointment date is in present or future. - YES
You are the owner of the appointment record.- NO
So it should not happen in the recent case.
I will forward your link to the Dynamics Team. Can this somehow be a misconfiguration?
Hi StephanG,
According to the doc, only those in present or future appointment and the owner can cancel the meeting. Is your colleague the owner?
No, it is D365 Sales.
Hi StephanG,
Could you tell us which app are you using, D365 Marketing?
