how does Navision determines whether a GL account is Direct posting or Indirect?

Hi Community,
 
I'm setting up the Chart of Account for a company, I am curious how do we determine whether a GL account should be direct posting or indirect?
 
Initially, I thought it has to do with Accounts, but I checked with my Group Finance manager, and she wasn't sure also.

    Hi, mainly there are more GL Accounts about Expense as it is not possible to post through SO, PO, etc.
    Also accounts that need to adjust the amount manually are set to Direct Posting.
    Below is the GL Accounts with Direct Posting in the demo environment, hope it can give you some reference.
