SOP10200 Field - QTYSLCTD

GP 9.0  We do not use serial or lot.

We had a strange result while transfering an order to invoice.  All of the lines transfered correctly except one and that one did not transfer at all.  It was the only line with a quantity (not 0) in the QTYSLCTD field.

What is this field used for?  How is set?  When is set?

Thanks.

Joseph

     Hi joseph,

QTYSLCTD - Quantity selected which you want to remove from stock at each site that is displayed.

Please check the Qtyallocted for that item. I think remaining rest of items(19 out of 20) does not have available qty.

Please print the edit List. And see what is the wrong in that order.

    Regards

I don't think the previous post answered your question.  This is from the GP SDK:

QTY Selected:                        The number of existing serial/lot numbers or bins selected by this line item.

Do you have multi-bins enabled?  Might it be that?  Could it be that this item may have at one point in the past marked to track serial or lot numbers?

     Ron,

Actually GP SDK is saying that what you have mentioned. In SOP Overide shortage window if you select the option is distribute then you canenter and understand the actual purpose of that field.

Thank you both for your comments.  I was able to find the field in the distribution window.   We don't use this window often.  I will do some testing to see how invoicing is affected.

     Thanks again.

    Re: SOP10200 Field - QTYSLCTD

We have the distribution window locked down so that our customer service reps do not use it.  We do not ship from multi-locations on the same order.  So we do not allow the CSR to 'select' another warehouse on the same order.  They cannot even save the record if the line LOCNCODE's do not match the header LOCNCODE.

Does anyone know of another way the QTYSLCTD field value gets changed?

     Thanks.
