Update owner field on millions of records

Hello,

I need to update an owner field on ~5millions of records (salesorder entity) in Dynamics 365CE.

What is the best/recommended way to do it?

I am thinking about the Power Automate but it will take several days to reassign such an amount of records, I guess.

    Hello,

    You can use bulk data updater. Where you need to fetch the data using the fetch xml and then provide the information related with the owner. Bulk updaters will update the data in phases so that you don't need to do manually.

    The easiest and fastest way that I know of to do this would be to use Data Sync Studio.  You are acting ont he database directly through the SDK, so it's completely safe and supported, but you don't have the overhead of running PowerAutomate on each and every record.

    You can find more about Data Sync Studio on their website: simego.com

    I've been using this for 5 years and it is the best data manipulation tool for Dynamics (IMHO!)
