The April 2020 release states that- 'After the licenses are enforced (starting April 1, 2020), restricted apps, such as Customer Service Hub, Sales Hub, and custom apps, will not be accessible to users with the Team Member licenses.' Does anyone know what is Custom App in this case, does it cover Model Driven App as well or Canvas App ?

I have collected the Team member overview here: iiu.dk/.../

The license guide specific list that "There is no use rights for Microsoft PowerApps or Forms Pro with a Team member license." so no Canvas and only specific Team member apps, where you are only allowed to add 15 additional entities.

Hi bravoss,

Team Member licenses users can read the data of custom entities and can edit up to 15 custom entities.

So you need to enable preview of 2020 release wave 1 and transfer the components and content of the custom app to the three specified apps so that you can continue to use Team Member licenses.

Customers can also proactively preview full enforcement before general availability. We recommend that the Team Member scenarios be tested and customizations migrated to the designated app modules, as needed.

We have a largely custom application with a split of Team Licence users around 40%, that would mean that we will have to move all users over to a Full Licence even though these are read-only and access custom entities, since after October we are only supposed to use Model Driven Apps. That would add quite a cost if it is true ! Am I missing something here ?

Yes, both the Model Driven App and Canvas App are custom apps and can no longer be accessed by Team Member licenses users.

From April 1, 2020, Team Member licenses users will only access these three apps:

Customer Service Team Member

Sales Team Member

Project Resource Hub
