Any and every page expected 8-12 second load time?

I am working with MS CRM Online on a wired network. I have used various speed test sites to confirm that this issue is not caused by networking issues, and all other websites load quickly. All of my users experience this load time, so it is not specific to a single computer. I have experienced it on my laptop as well as my personal desktop, both of which are free of viruses or other system-specific issues. Customization to our CRM deployment are minimal (workflows only trigger due to specific actions and are not loaded with each page, most customization is in the form of additional fields), and this load time is experienced in both entities with customization and without.

I called MS CRM support and they reported to me that the expected load time for any and every page without customization was 8-12 seconds. Other CRM database products that I have used see load times of 1 second or under. Even though our operation is small right now, this load time is causing a problem.

Is this the performance that all users are expected to receive? Can something be done to increase performance?

    Hi Justin,

No, this isn't something everybody sees. 8-12 seconds per page in CRM Online is extremely long and not what other users see (unless they have some poorly written code). The only thing I can suggest is to get back on the phone with MS and hope you talk to somebody who knows what they're talking about and can help.

    Thanks,

     Aiden

Thanks Aiden. I'll try to push to find someone who can tell me how to resolve the performance.

It you were hosting it yourself then there could be a hundred things misconfigured to cause this, but with CRM Online MS should be handling that and giving you a usable environment. Good luck Justin.
