Invalid parameter 'Exact match mapping only valid for Similarity scenario' while setting up Advanced Similarity Rules on Case

Hi, is anyone else having troubles setting up Advanced Similarity Rules on Case? 

I have a Case record with a few lookup Fields:

  • Case Category (lookup to a custom entity)
  • Case Subcategory (lookup to a custom entity)

In the Similar cases grid, I would like to show all cases who have the same values for these lookups. 

However, when I am trying to setup the rules, I am getting Errors on whatever I want to do (Out of the box Microsoft Plugins that throw errors)

On the Case Quick Find View of the Case entity, I've selected both lookup as "Find Columns"

We are on the following version:

Version: 2021 release wave 1 enabled
Server version: 9.2.21022.00133
Client version: 1.4.2267-2102.2
Is there anyone who can help us out?

    Hi Sven,

    It seems so strange, I repeat your steps, there are no any error appears.

    Have you tried to use other lookup fields to do exact match, the same error has appeared or not?

    If only the case category lookup field has the error, maybe you can delete it and recreate new one.

    If the field has data that you can’t delete, you can create new lookup field and use workflow to copy value to new field automatically, then use new lookup field to do exact match.

    If all fields can’t do exact match, you can try to clear cache or use another browser to test again, if it still appearing the error, maybe you need open the ticket with Microsoft and ask for support.
