How do you deactivate expiry date for batch-controlled items during mobile device PO receipt

I have items that are batch-controlled but I do not need expiration date.  However, the mobile device purchase receiving requires the user to enter an expiry date.  I also don't need shelf life so that functionality is turned off.

Is there any way to deactivate the expiry date requirement?

I have the same question (0)

    Hello R Stogner,

The expiry date cannot be deactivated, but you can try this.

On Mobile Device Menu Item enable "Use Default Data"

On Menu > Default data > Select Expiration date and set a default value with a long expiry date that. By this way user wont need to enter the value manually.

You might consider the hide the field using customization.

One answer was to use the default data on the mobile device to auto-populate the expiry date, but the mobile device would still prompt you for the date and user would still have to click enter because the date was filled in.

Best answer was to turn the shelf life functionality back on and go ahead and set the shelf life days to like 14600 (which is 40 years).  This stops the mobile device from prompting the user for an expiry date, but still maintains the ability to use FEFO (however, it ends up working like FIFO if all products are driven by this same setup)  Point is, for products you want to track batch, but they don't expire, this was the best answer.
