The correction tick box on a general journal-how to extract data

Good day

Any help on this would be appreciated please.   If I tick the "correction" box on a general journal line and then post the entry, how can I extract all data based on that box being ticked?   I cannot personalise the General Ledger Entries to pull that field on as the field is not available.   If I can't get to the data afterwards, then I wonder about the usefullness of that field.

    The field just revalidates the amounts. You may consider using the “Reason Code” field. That is passed over to the general ledger entries. You can set it at batch level so it is always populated. Or if you use a specific batch for corrections you can use that as a filter

    Hello Josh

    Thank you for the reply but that isn't really what I'm looking for.   I use reason codes for many reasons and that works just fine.   My client is wanting to understand what functionality lies behind the "correction" tick box and so that is why I was trying to estabish if I could extract data off that particular field.

    If it can't assist as a filter to extract data off posted transactions, then I'm struggling to understand how useful it could be.
