Integration Contact and Account Relationships with scribe (from sql server)

This community has been so helpful, however I have a requirements which involves integration from sql server to dynamics crm using scibe online.

How do I map the relationship between contact and account, the sql server as no GUID

so on sql server account table

your have fields  ID, Name etc

on contact you have contact ID, first name, last name , then you have account id which is the foreign key to the account table.

but in scribe integration the account field on contact entity expects a GUID and not a string or foreign key.

Will appreciate any suggestion or if there is also a scribe blog dedicated to crm.

The Solution was to first import the accounts with scribe.

Then Import the contact and use a look up to the account to get the GUID for the account.

so the look up filter criteria will be crm.sqlaccountid = sqlaccountid

and then you return the GUID.

you then map the return GUID to the account look up on contact.

I'm assuming your ID field is not a GUID but a unique internal customer code?

So what values do you currently have in your SQL tables?

    Account:

    -accountid

    -name

    Contact:

    -contactid

    -firstname

    -lastname

    ?

thanks , but this is data mapping so am mapping crm contact first name to sql contact first name

and so on then the account mapping expects a look up i.e GUID

    Hi Adeyemi,

I don't use Scribe but what you need to do is extract your customer list with the field 'accountid', 'ID' & 'Name' from CRM into a new table in SQL. Then you can join your current table with the new table by the 'ID'.
