Will break the question in parts and rewrite it again so that it be clear !
Scenario: - Customer is in sofa manufacturing business deals with N number of sofa variants which end user can choose as per their choices & customization .
Customer has numerous ranges of sofa variants which includes from below: -
Modules (Corner, 4-seater, 3-seater, 2-seater, single seater, footstool etc)
• Piping options circa 20+
• Fabrics – Selection of circa 2,000+
• Sofa Feet – Multiple
• Stuffing (Internal Fillings) – 3
• Scatter cushions options – Multiple
Customization of sofa choices are highly dynamic in nature in terms of height / colour / fabric etc (All components) .
Q1:- How this can be catered by dynamics 365 F&O so that all possible variants will show on system and the variant which customer chooses then respective BOM will be generated automatically {volumes are in several thousand}
If answer is Product configuration model then do we need to write the all possible combinations /variants manually under attributes /components etc in the section of Product configuration model ? for example there are 3000 kind of fabric and it can have N number of variant's permutation of combination with piping /sofa feet etc .
Similarly for the thousands of variants combinations do we need to manually write the BOM as well ?
Does the Product configuration has any extensive capability which can be used in this scenario ?
