Ever since installing the 2015 Outlook client, users in my organisation are getting an annoying popup message every now and again. First it comes up with "Contacting CRM" then "Wrapping up". While these are on the screen, you can't click anything else. Also, they pop up right in the middle of the currently active screen and stop you doing whatever you were doing. They pop up multiple times, then vanish.

Anyone else seeing this? Very annoying. I wonder if it's a "feature" or an issue that needs resolving.

I sense you will need to have a look at synchronization filters for your users :

www.microsoft.com/.../set-personal-options-that-affect-tracking-and-synchronization-between-crm-and-outlook-or-exchange.aspx

This might provide certain level of control on what is being synced and should reduce the pop-ups you see.

I understand I can set the different Sync options but surely this popup shouldn't take over the screen every time it does it.

I worry that we have about 40 clients who will be upgrading to 2015 in the near future and they're not going to like this.

I remember few things where you can change the synchronization time interval in CRM 2011, the least to be set was 15 minutes. I do not see that setting at least on CRM 2015 side.

im having the same problem, and its driving us insane the only workaround I have found is un-checking the following...but I really want this feature checked.

This is a problem. It is definitely the auto tracking of emails that causes this. I am surprised there have not been more reports of this.

We need a fix ASAP

Unfortunately turning the "Check incoming email" off in settings does not get around this problem.

The only way I've found to get rid of it so far is to downgrade to the CRM 2013 Outlook client. This still works with 2015 and lets your track etc.

Thanks Matt. Thats too bad. The 2015 client seems smoother and snappier in navigation. Hard to believe this passed QA. I wonder if there is a workaround... Who's going to call support ? :-)

I've raised it with them. Microsoft said they've not had (m)any complaints about it and sounded quite surprised when I was explaining it to them. Apparently they're looking into it but I didn't get a case number as it was just one the guys I normally talk to there.

I may have found a potential solution since my is no longer "wrapping"

1) Go to Windows search bar and type CRM (you want to find the diagnostics)

2) Make sure the following are checked under Synchronization Troubleshooting

Then go to the Advanced Troubleshooting and Delete temps then Enable crm outlook addons

Finally Restart outlook a and sync a few times.

Some of my users are still having this problem, but i am not...the only difference i have found is that they are wireless. This is crippling...any updates?
