In Business Central, a Sales Order containing at least a dozen line items was modified prior to clicking Post and choosing "Ship".
Specifically, the Quantity of one item was increased from 300 to 320. No line items on this Sales Order had been shipped or modified.
Upon clicking Post and choosing "Ship", the quantity reverted back to 300.
All of the other line items and their quantities properly shipped.
I went back in, reopened the order, and updated the quantity to 320 again. After hitting Tab, the “Quantity to Ship” field changed to 20 while “Quantity Shipped” remained at 300.
I posted it again, and it still showed 20 as the quantity to ship and 300 as already shipped. This means the remaining 20 will appear as a backorder.
Why, and what can be done so that similar issues do not happen again in the future?
