Are there filters available in workflows?

Hi,

I'm trying to make an approval workflow within Business Central.  I need to filter by job no. for the trigger and hoping this is possible out of the box.

The scenario is when a purchase order is created they may need to include jobs in the purchase lines.  There is a specific 3 letter prefix on our job codes which determine which users are required for approval.  For example, imagine jobs making desserts or confectionary.  For the confectionary specific Jobs the purchase line might say CON001 but for the dessert specific jobs the purchase line might say DES001.  Each kind of job will only be used once per PO so there is no chance of DES001 & CON001 to be used in the same PO.  CON type jobs have a different approver set to DES type jobs.  I was hoping this meant I could use something like conatins "CON" but this doesn't seem possible.

The outputs available in Power Automate don't seem to make this possible either.  I am investigating using a Custom API for Power Automate but if this doesn't work then I'm not sure what else to try.  Any help for this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Shane

    Hello,

This does look like something that is not possible out of the box as you mentioned. Maybe that there is an app available that can meet this purpose.

    Thanks.

Have you tried filtering the job code using wildcards like *CON*
