Vendor categorization

Hi,

Is there any way to categorized the vendor in business central because we have different types of vendor like medical suppliers, Service and repairing and many others, So I want to categorize these vendor in business central because I don't want my user to view all types of vendors list but user can view only relevant vendors.

    Hi.

    I think it is necessary to create a new option field and insert the different types.

    Subsequently it will be possible to filter the list for the desired type.

    Hi Syed Saqib,

    You can use the vendor posting group for vendor categorization and you can add filtration based on a vendor posting group.

    Hello Saqib, 

    You can also use Responsibility center to categorize your vendor and user can also filter the data by this field.

    There is an additional feature of this field and that is to restrict user to get data only for assigned responsibility center to him/her.  This is optional.
