How to restrict Dynamics business central 365 users from changing their own roles?
Hi.
You can lock user from changing their role by removing permission on Table 9172: User Settings
The field that holds the role is field 9: Profile ID
if you "Customise Pages" from the profiles page for the profiles you want to remove "Role" from.
You should then be able to remove the Role option via the personalisation (see below)

The solution both experts provided will work. With the second one user can personalize and add that field back unless you disable personalization.
But both has a limitation that if you want to give user access to 2 role (for example) and user wants to switch. Then you need to define special permission for user. If your requirement is complex then either ask for development of look into some 3rd party app such as below
