Can Audit Trails be utilized to audit Extender tables?

We're currently in the process of implementing Audit Trails, and one mandate we've received is that we need to be able to audit some information that is currently stored within Extender tables. The first issue we have with that particular mandate is that we're not even sure whether or not Audit Trails can even be used to audit Extender tables.

    Hi Chris.

Audit Trail works at the table and field level.

The answer is yes it would work on Extender fields but not a specific extender window all extender window and fields would be audited in all Extender tables for String, Numeric and Date fields,

I would suggest creating your own Activity Tracking tables in SQL and activating tracking triggers on the extender files to better be able track field changes to specific Exteder windows,

    Hope this helps
