Crystal Reports Print Engine error

We use SL 6.5 Sp1

Some of my users (order management) are having trouble printing picking lists to a particular printer.  The report will error the first time they print it, producing the 723 error that Crystal Reports Print Engine Helper cannot start print job.  The user clicks ok and immediately repeats the steps to print and the document prints.

It doesnt happen on every picking list, but happens often enough to be an issue, however I am not sure how to go about fixing it...

I have tried new drivers, replaced old drivers, post script drivers and nothing seems to work... have deleted and readded the printer on the print server and the clients where the error is happening and it still seems to come up.  I have reinstalled the SL client on the computers too and am getting nowhere.

Have also seen the partner source document about printers kb844993 which didnt seem to help.

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.

     Thanks Joe -

The users have local admin rights to their machines (ugh) and the SL rights for processes and reports are configured to allow the OM users to print the picking list report.

The print picking list order step is pointing at the correct printer...

I tried opening and resaving the report in CR with a setting of No Printer and havent heard of the error appearing again since... not sure it is gone though.

I might poll the users later this week to see if it is behaving itself...

     will keep you posted

     thanks

    Derek

some things to try may be to try giving the users local admin rights to the machine.  Check the security within SL to ensure the users have rights to the reports as well as other processes surrounding the reports.  Basically I would probably try to repeat the error running as administrator on the PC and SYSADMIN in SL and see if the problems still occur.
