Error: The request failed with an empty response

Whenever I click on a table name in the left column in GP, I get the following error:

Client found response content type of ", but expected 'text/xml'. The request failed with an empty response.

The error happens with the Customers Table, Sales Order Transactions, Report List, Reporting Services Reports, Salespeople, and All Sales Transactions, but does not happen with the other lists.

The error dialog pops up about 6 to 8 times in a row and I have to repeatedly click the OK button. Afterward the list will (usually) open normally. The same error happens for all users.

Would really appreciate help with resolving this issue.

Can you tell us please which window or page you are attempting to select those tables, to provide better troubleshooting?

We have Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010. When logged in, the left side of the window has a column of categories Home, Financial, Sales, Purchasing, Administration, and Inventory. When I open the Sales category and click on the links, or tables, I get the error. It is possible that it happens in other categories also, but I haven'ted tried those to be sure.

    Appreciate any suggestions.

We also encountered this error just this morning using the Item List. Was any solution found?

Does this have something to do with domain accounts and reporting services?  We have had issues with that, and other errors, and now this new error.

We just received this error today also.  Has anyone found a solution for it?

I am not sure if this applies to GP 2010 but in GP 2013 the security for the lists pulls from SSRS. If you grant the user security in SSRS I believe this will resolve the issue. If SSRS is deployed natively (windows authentication) you will need to grant security to the user's domain account.
