Hello,

Can anyone tell me what the purpose of this table is used for. I have a client that I am trying to use the inventory changer and modifier tools (PSTL) on and I receive errors regarding this table.

Thanks,

David

    Hi David,
Do you have any data in any of the IV50XXX tables? The 50000 series of tables are temp tables. I do not remember ever having any balances in any of those tables. I honestly do not know what they are used for. I use the Inventory changer tool frequently and have never gotten that error.
According to their names, they are somehow involved in ABC analysis and Stock Count Assignment. I played around with the stock count a little bit, but I couldn't get any records to populate that table. After that, I forced some records into those tables and then ran the Item Modifier - no errors. Interesting point is I put item 1-A3261A in the IV50XXX tables and then ran Item Modifier on that item. I received no errors, but it did not change the item number of the item in the IV50XXX tables.
What is the exact error message you are receiving?
    Kind regards,
    Leslie

    Leslie,

The error is Related to Primary Key Contraint PKIV50200. Cannot insert duplicate key in object dbo.IV50200.

My educated guess is that the customer must have had a workstation lockup when creating a stock count at some point. I was able to remove this error by deleting the contents of the table.

Before I did this on their live data, I wanted to make sure that this data was not important.

    Hi,

I think you're pretty safe deleting that data, I'd backup the table first. So, am I understanding you right by concluding that you did, in fact, have records in the IV50200 table? Are they doing anything with stock counts?

    Kind regards,

    Leslie
