What's the difference between the Purch. Receipt Header/Purch Receipt Line tables and the Historical Purch. Receipt Header/Historical Purch. Receipt Line tables?
 
And, are the non-historical tables "open"?

    The Purch. Receipt Header and Lines tables are the Business Central tables. I would use these always.
     
    The historical purch. receipt header and lines tables are related to the Dynamics GP migration tool. More info here: Migrate Dynamics GP data to the cloud - Business Central | Microsoft Learn
     
    If you aren't migrating data from GP you do not need to worry about those archive tables.
