User Personalisation getting reset

Hello,
A number of users have reported that their personal pages and column orders are being reset which affects imports and journals. We're new to the cloud and users believe it's happening on each minior update. We're on 26.4.
I don't think updates affect user Personalisation so could be happening?

    Their settings should be saved unless someone is changing the Profile/Role itself and that is being applied to multiple users. During update windows if there are changes such as new buttons being added or pages they will also see those. It's generally a good practice to review your personalizations every update and then extract them to save them on a frequent basis.
     
    You can also check the "Personalized Pages" page in BC and see the last date it was modified. Someone could also accidentally delete from that page if they had access.

    Hi, I had heard of this issue before, but it's not in the latest version.
    You can take a look at the page below, which stores all user personalizations. Although you can't import or export details, if the records are still there, it shouldn't affect the users.

    Minor updates do not normally reset user personalizations.
    If layouts disappear, it’s almost always because:
    Someone modified the Profile, which overwrites all user layouts
    Personalized Pages entries were deleted
    New fields/pages in the update caused layout shifts (not a reset)
    So yes, it can happen, but it’s not the update itself.

    Hi,

    This shouldn’t normally happen during minor updates. Business Central preserves user personalisation (page layouts, column orders, filters, etc.) across both minor and major updates — updates are not designed to reset personal pages.

    You can check the Personalized Pages list to review all personalisations currently stored for users. It’s also worth verifying that Disable Personalization is not enabled in any Profile. This is unlikely to be the root cause, but re-checking may help rule it out.
