We are getting this error "Item number: (item number) Number sequence 0 does not exist." when trying to report progress against the batch order job on production floor execution application. I have checked the number sequence for journal and it is already in place.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

    Hi Naif,

Please refer to these old threads, they mention the same error as yours, and although it is a different scenario, the discussion may be helpful to you.

    Potential Causes and Solutions

    1. Number Sequence Configuration: The error may be related to the configuration of number sequences, particularly when posting transactions or generating invoice proposals. It's crucial to ensure that the number sequences are correctly defined and associated with the relevant entities or voucher series.2. Hotfix Availability: In some cases, the error may be a known issue for which a hotfix is available from Microsoft. Applying the recommended hotfix after testing in a non-production environment could potentially resolve the issue.3. Scope and Entity Configuration: The scope of Build Now GG number sequences and their association with specific entities or legal entities can impact the generation of voucher numbers. Adjusting the scope and creating new number sequences with the appropriate scope may address the issue.4. Journal Batch Configuration: For scenarios involving item journal batches or inventory adjustments, ensuring the correct configuration of journal batches and their association with specific transactions is essential for error-free processing.
