Get/Change Operation

We recently refreshed our test environment with our production DYNAMICS and company databases.  We are receiving the following error when attempting to post payables batches in the test environment.  We do not receive the error in production.

Batch Posting error
I've found some older articles that recommended clearing the Activity, SY00800, and other tables.  I also found a recommendation to drop and create the stored procedures.  None of these has resolved the issue.

Glad it worked out. Just out of curiosity which module(s) were causing the issue?

Richard, I finally got this resolved.  I installed the TWO company and encountered the same issue.  I created another instance of GP and only installed the core functionality.  All tests with the new instance were successful.  I started removing enhancements in the SET file and finally was able to eliminate the errors.  Strange that this suddenly became an issue when nothing has really changed in the environment.  I greatly appreciate your assistance.

My thinking is that are some record locks on the SY00500 table. Rebooting the server or stopping and starting the SQL services will remove these locks.

I've attempted to post both existing and new batches, same result.  Yes, I can delete batches.  I haven't rebooted the server.  Will try that next.

Are these existing batches you are trying to post? If you create a new batch can you post it? Can you delete any batches? I don't suppose there is a table lock on the SY00500 table? Have you stopped and started SQL or rebooted the server?

Richard, some additional feedback.  I'm receiving the same message when attempting to post a Receivables Transaction batch in Receivables Management.

Richard, below are the actions I have taken so far.

-executed scripts as recommended - still receive error

-executed grant sql script - still receive error

-posted as 'sa' - still receive error

-created new poweruser - still receive error

When performing the tests there were no series 4 batches in SY00500 prior to executing the test

    RE: Get/Change Operation

With no one in GP in any company these scripts should return no records.

    DELETE DYNAMICS..ACTIVITY

    DELETE DYNAMICS..SY00800

    DELETE DYNAMICS..SY00801

    DELETE TEMPDB..DEX_SESSION

    DELETE TEMPDB..DEX_LOCK

If the problem continues, are you logged in as 'sa'? If no problems, it is a security issue. Try running GRANT.SQL on this TEST company. Also try copying security for a user from the production company to test. Start looking at the records in the SY00500 if this issue continues. This will be in your test company database.
