Ratings on Knowledge Articles on Dynamics Portal

I'm trying to turn on Rating on Knowledge Articles on our Dynamics Customer Self Service Portal. I've followed the instructions in the Rate or vote on a webpage or blog post on a portal by setting "Enable Rating to Yes" but I still don't have the Ratings.

There is a statement in the above article that state's that "For webpages that have page ratings enabled and the developer has applied the control to the template, users can rate the page either by using the rating scale or voting, depending on the type chosen when the control was added to the page template." I'm wondering if this is the part I'm missing, I can't find any documentation on how to "apply the ratings control to the template". I'm new to Portals and any help on this is appreciated.

    Hi Edrei,

The out-of-the-box page template used for knowledge base articles already contains the rating control.  To get ratings to appear, ensure that the Enable Rating field is set to Yes on the "Knowledge Base - Article Details" page - make sure you set it on the language-specific version of the page.  The easiest way to do this is to go to a knowledge article on the Portal and use the front-side editing to enable ratings, on the "Options" tab when editing a page.

I'm not sure if forums support ratings - are you seeing documentation somewhere that indicates that they are supported?

    Hi Nick,

As per the screenshot below, forums should support ratings.455277.Capture.PNG

I think perhaps that comment is from old Adxstudio documentation, and would've been true when you could create your own Rewrite Page Templates and add the Ratings control wherever. But since we have no control over the Forum Page Templates, I don't think there is much we can do about it.
