Hello

I am looking for the option to copy cards from one company to another with same id and balance. Actually in my setup there are 5 company. Many customers and vendors card belongs to more then one company. In current scenario I have to create same vendor and customer card for each company. I want to create card for one company and use it for multiple company. Is there any convenient way to achieve this goal?

Thanks in advanced

RE: How to copy cards from one company to another company?

    Hello AlSaadi

As per your suggestion am using Integration manager to copy customer cards from one of my GP Company A to another company B in GP Using Dynamics GP destination adapter, . In source I specified table from Company A but in destination there is no option to specify Company B.

I logged in Company B and run integration from Integration manager window (As Integration manager and run integration manager option from GP->Tools->Integrate->run integration was not highlighted on move cursor so preferred integration manager window ) but got below error.

    Opening source query...

    Establishing source record count...

    Beginning integration...

DOC 1 WARNING: Field 'Name' truncated at 64

DOC 1 ERROR: Object '0001           ' already exists -- cannot Insert.

DOC 2 WARNING: Field 'Name' truncated at 64

DOC 2 ERROR: Object '0002           ' already exists -- cannot Insert.

DOC 3 WARNING: Field 'Name' truncated at 64

DOC 6 WARNING: Field 'Name' truncated at 64

DOC 6 ERROR: Object '0006           ' already exists -- cannot Insert.

Kindly Help me to resolve this issue.

    Thanks & Regards

    Hello AlSaadi

Extremely Sorry for delay in reply. Actually we don't have full Version license of IM and it its been more then 240 days for conversion license( As MSFT provide conversion license for only 240 days really bad idea. ) so there is no way to use IM. And second option Macro I am working on it. Hopefully it will be resolved. I let you know about update.

    Thanks & Regards

Then you can go for the easy options, either Integration Manager or Macro. Here are some useful links:

So the destination companies are not new right ? In this case, you only want to copy the cards not anything else right ?

    Hello AlSaadi

First thanks a lot  for quick and valuable reply.

1.I suppose Through PSTL entire module get copy but I need much more customization specific to cards only.

2.Can you please guide me how Integration Manager and Macro can fulfill the requirement. If you suggest some valuable link (Guide) I would be highly thankful.

    Thanks and Regards.

    Hello Amir

If the destination company to which you are copying data is "new", a convenient option that I can think of is the "Company Copy" in the professional service tool library (PSTL).

For the transactions, I believe you need to migrate an opening balance rather than all the detailed transactions, right ? If so, both Integration Manager and Macro can fulfill the requirement

Never hesitate to share any further inquiries,
