CRM Dynamic Marketing List - Unable to Add Members Through Query

Hi,

Pleasant day to you. As stated on the title, I was having some trouble with the dynamic marketing list for Accounts. I am trying to add members using a simple filter but I was receiving an error. What I am doing was to add a criteria, click Find to validate the records, and click Use Query. It was processing for a while then the error would appear. The accounts were not added to the members of the list.

We are using CRM Online (version 8.0.0.2091/2016). The issue was also encountered for Target As Leads and Contacts as well.

I'd appreciate any guidance or insights to resolve the issue. Thank you.

Please try with another browser. It might be the browser issue. Thanks.

Thanks, but I have tried to do this on Chrome, Mozilla and IE yet still not successful.

I am guessing this was somewhat related to missing fields since we have customized the form. I have already added back all the fields and just made it hidden on the form just to try, but no luck.

Hi Stark, you can not add member (Account/Contact) to marketing list using normal OData insert query.

But you can use AddMemberList Action (using OData call) to add member (Account/Contact) to marketing list, please refer to below link:

    Hello,

I'm afraid that you can't add members to Dynamic marketing list because membership is calculated based on Fetch Query. Try to create Static marketing list and add members to it.

Thanks for the comments, I know that I cannot add members specifically through the dynamic marketing list just like in a static. What I am trying to do is to add members to this list using the Manage Members button by CRM in the normal way, yet the result was nothing was being included on the marketing list.

    Hello A.Stark,

I have tested the scenario you mention and was able to add the members to a dynamics marketing list. So it looks like a specific issue. Please log a support ticket so we can assist you. Let me know the SR# for follow up.

    Thanks,

We couldn't find exactly what is the problem, so what we did to fix the issue was get a non-customized marketing list form and views and applied it to our instance. After recreating our customizations on the marketing list form, we avoided to customize the views of the members as we suspect that we have modified something there that we shouldn't.

Thanks for all the help everyone.

    Hi,

I am having the exact same problem and the only difference I can see between my Production and Sandbox version is the Form Dependencies. Could this be the problem?

I know you fixed the problem by copying over a non customised marketing list form. In my case that would be my Sandbox version.

    Hi Hayley,

The form dependencies could be a thing. If you can trace it or narrow down to specific components then that would be good, but if not you might consider to re-customize the marketing list.
