Account Category error

Hello

I am getting an error when trying to update my account subcategory in my chart of accounts in BC365. The error reads /The filter /116000|222000..223001|223003..223009|223011..223028|223031..223041|223045..223047|223049..223050|223200..223451|223472|223500..223505|223507..223548|223600..223603|223733|225500|226500..226501|226505..226506|226508|226512|226515|226518|226523|226526|/ is not valid for the G/L Account No. field on the G/L Entry table. The right side of '|' operators cannot be empty./

I understand that I need to clear out the last /|/ but I cannot find where to do that. When I pull up the G/L Account Categories screen I get the same error and the system states that it has nothing to display.

Can anyone help me understand how/where to fix this?

Hi @Saurav,

Thanks for the reply. I am getting this error when I am trying to update the account subcategory in the chart of accounts screen. We are looking to map accounts to specific subgroups for our financial statements. When I click the three dots to select an account sub-category, that is where this message comes up.

Hi Alex,

Open G/L Account Categories page and review Value in G/L Account in Categories.

Correct the value in that field and try again.

Hi Saurav,

I've attempted to complete the correction on this screen as well, but when I pull it up I get the same error message. I am able to view my groupings for assets, expenses, revenue, etc but I am unable to view the liabilities which is where the error is. I'm not sure where else to try and attempt to clear this out if the system is not letting me get to the category ranges to correct them.

Thanks for the reply ZHU. Would you be able to explain how that could be done using the configuration package? I am not familiar with that funcitonality.
