Bulk upload of serial numbers at warehouse receiving

Is there a way to bulk upload a long list of serial numbers associated with an Item (up to 900) at warehouse receiving stage. Item tracking lines does not have an Edit in excel feature and we want it to be part of a routine receiving process so config package is not an option.
I have the same question (0)

Are you using barcode scanners? If you have that many serial numbers, it's common to use barcode scanners

    Hi Valetin
Not in this case, no barcode scanners. It is usually an irregular batch from 1 vendor but they do provide us the list of serial numbers upfront.

Unfortunately, this cannot be done as standard and can only be customized. . .This is also the most troublesome part of BC/NAV's Item Tracking management, and there has been no improvement.
    For example:

    Thanks @Yun Zhu
Your post got me thinking that since it is the Reservation Entry table (ID = 337) that gets populated, I could generate a power automate flow to upload a long list of serial numbers from sharepoint/spreadsheet to that table..

You can also copy and paste serial numbers from Excel, provided your Excel data is organized with the same columns as the Item Tracking page or the page where you're entering the serial numbers. Otherwise, customization or a power automate flow works. If you frequently purchase from this vendor, it might be worth creating a custom import on the Item Tracking page to directly import the vendor's Excel file.

However, this requires maintaining Excel data outside the system and then importing it.
Every time, you need to modify the "Source ID", "Source Ref. No." and other fields according to the current warehouse receiving number. I personally think this is easy to make mistakes.
If it is master data, there is no problem, but this is transaction data. . . .
If you use power automate, you need to customize at least two or three APIs because there is no standard API.

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

I think if the vendor is providing you with the serial numbers outside of the system, it seems like you already have data that needs to be maintained separately, regardless of how you choose to import it. If you're using Excel, you’d really only need two columns: the serial number and quantity. But at the end of the day, these are just suggestions to consider.
