How to display company or any other entity data into the page by using OData URL?

Hello,

We are having a requirement to display Company data into the page of Business Central by using OData URL and also pass the displayed data into the other system by using an API call. We have two questions right now to achieve this requirement.
1. How to display data in a Page using OData URL of business Central?
--> In this case, we are assuming that we need to create an OData URL for this but we are not able to find anything about this.
2. On click of the Submit button we need to prepare the JSON of the displayed data in a page.
--> In this case, we have a plan to make JSON of displayed data but we are struggling to make JSON from displayed data.
It would be great help if somebody could guide us what to do. It would be really very appreciated.
I have the same question (0)

Check out the web services page. If you have an idea of the pages already then you can select from the ready to go list. If the page does not meet your requirement you can create a new one with AL. The json structure is predefined based on the page design so very little work here indeed. Not completely relevant to your scenario but this blog shows some DEV and general usage of odata: joshanglesea.wordpress.com/.../

    Hi,

First check the default Web Services of type Page or Query in Business Central, if required Web Service not available then you can create your own custom Web Service of type Page or Query by writing AL code. Whenever you are creating your own Web Service make sure it's type should be page or query because these two types only support OData.

    Steps to create OData URL:
    * Create a page or query with the related table
    * Open Web Services Page in Business Central choose Object Type: Page or Query and enter Object ID of your page or query, give your service a Name
    * After this make Publish field true copy the OData Url and make request to get the data.

To get data in JSON through service call you can get Idea of Service call from below URL: Consume REST API Url in Microsoft D365 Business Central
