does it work? can you install POS 2009 on windows7? if so how?

It looks like POS 2009 is going to be compatible with Windows 7 when SP1 for POS 2009 is released, which looks to be October of this year (according to documents from WPC back in July).
i have checked the SPs but no where the product is available for windows 7. If anyone can able to help in this will be very grateful.
with SP1 you can run Windows 7 Professional or higher. There is also no FP1
