Hi, I noticed that I was able to set up 64 bit ODBC connection using sql native client 10 (system dsn). but the error seems to be for 32 bit odbc. (I set up the ACL to allow traffic through port 1433 as well).  Any insights shared will be highly appreciated. Thank you. (Please note I am running OS/SQL in virtual cloud)

    C:\Windows\SysWow64\odbcad32.exe

    Double click “Data Sources ODBC”

Go to the System TAb and ADD

Then use your SQL Server Ntive Client 10.0

Have you tried removing the strong encryption option from the set-up?

    Hello,

If you're setting up a ODBC System DSN connection to use with Dynamics GP 2010, you're setting it up incorrectly as per the information you stated and I would suspect the 'Data Encryption: Yes' setting you mentioned is leading to this error.

I would recommend setting up the ODBC as per KB article 870416 - 'How to set up an ODBC Data Source on SQL Server for Microsoft Dynamics GP'

    support.microsoft.com/.../870416

As per the KB article, after you enter the SA ID and password via SQL Server Authentication, on the next two windows, you'll want to un-check everything you are able to, then click Finish and Test the connectivity.

We've seen issues with Dynamics GP when you don't have the ODBC System DSN setup this way.

    Thank you
