    1. Go to Setting > Process , create a background workflow
Options for Automatic Process change into Record is change : select your field. in this demo , i will set as Account Rating.

Put in the check condition , to make sure the Account Rating is contain data and create a timeout step as stated below.

    2. Click on the timeout and set it as below, in your scenario will be 2 days after modified on. For demo purpose, i will set it as 2 minutes.

    3. Go to your record, and update the Account Rating and click on background process then you are able to see as below picture.

    4. after 2 minutes, the system will send the email, you can refer to below picture

    HWei Jie Fun,

I just want to ask why did you used '2 mins before modified on' and not '2 mins after modified on'? If the modified on is 10:30 AM, two minutes before that is 10:28 AM and that is already in the past but workflow should send the email on 10:32 AM. Can somebody please enlighten me on this? Thanks in advance.

    Thank you,

Can I use process timeout execution time instead of modified on?

    Best regards

    Hi Davor,

Sorry  you cant, process timeout execution time is not a field in Entity.

Ok, i think that your solution is almost  correct.

Modified on fields records any change on the form, what if some one changes other filed than the one i need, workflow will count from that change not from change on the filed i need.

So in my opinion i need to create one more date field where i will copy change date and than send the email regarding the date in that field not in modified on field

I hope that i managed to explain.

    RE: E-mail workflow

Hi davor , by setting the correct trigger workflow condition, you dont have to purposely create a new date field. From the demo , you can see that the condition that i set was Record is changed :Account rating, which means the workflow will get trigger when there is any changes made to the Account rating field only, if user made any changes to other fields ,the workflow will not get trigger, so it is ok to use modified on.
